Golf in El Rincón

This course is small (the blue tees play a total of 6087 yards) but challenging. The fairways are tight, with many out-of-bounds. There are several doglegs, blind shots and water hazards that complicate the round. The course is clearly divided in two halves; the first nine holes are even while the back nine have hills and different levels. The friendly greens are the feature most praised by the regular players. In winter, in spite of the cold, the course remains open, but with a shorter timetable. The 11th hole, a rather complicated par five, has a hill in the fairway that prevents the player from seeing where he is shooting. Moreover, the green is canted and, according to the position of the flag, it can become quite difficult.
