Description:
Golf in Salta
Even though the Salta Polo course, located at five minutes from downtown, was founded in the mid-twenties. It is a design with narrow fairways, rough grass and a magnificent grove in which pine and pacara trees (a hard wood tree typical of the city of Salta) prevail. The greatest difficulty of the course is in its small greens; and the high temperatures typical of the north of Argentina, make the greens very fast and little receptive. Visitors find it very difficult to find the exact touch and the right fall. Therefore, a putt can be excessively long or surprisingly short. Watering by sprinklers, which the circuit is currently being supplied with, is another endeavor by the club aimed at having a field even more competitive and updated with the latest technology advances.
