Description:
Golf in Carilo
This par 72 golf course is surrounded by a thick grove, among others, marine pines, cypresses and eucalyptuses. The golf course was constructed in two stages, the first 9 holes (inaugurated in 1976) are of noticeable British style, with narrow fairways and many dog legs forcing the player to make blind shots from the tee. The last nine holes (in 1998) are of American style and more modern, with more movement. It is a short but a very difficult course. In the par five holes, the professionals can arrive in two shots, but for it they will have to guess right the fairway from the tee. The defenses of this course are the rough, with sand; the thick forest and the small Greens turning it into a real challenge.
Designer: Tommy Sanderson and Julio Allison Garcia.
