Golf in Tortugas

Tortugas Country Club, located only thirty minutes drive from Buenos Aires downtown, continued growing around the first nine holes of the course which were opened in 1932. Only thirty years later the 18 holes were completed; but back then , the course was quite different from what it looks like today. The layout is not long but it requires careful attention so as to play each stroke with wisdom rather than power. The greens also offer some difficulties since they are very fast and with unpredictable slopes for those who do not know the course. Most holes are straight, but, as they are well guarded by extremely long trees lines, they do not give much chance to those who break the ideal game line. What´s more, the club has a 9 hole par 3 course, designed by Emilio Serra (son) which was opened in 1989.
