Description:
Golf in San Isidro
The current golf course, designed by Juan Dentone, was opened in 1928, after the club ws forced to move from its original land. The golf course layout was praised by Jimmy Demmaret, winner of the Argentine Open Championship in 1941. The greens were rebuilt less than ten years ago, under the direction of Grupo Randy Thompson and Kenny Moran. Designers respected the traditional style but incorporated technical improvements, which were needed to adapt greens. In the last redesign, designers also added lakes, making the game more challenging and the layout more impressive. The most important national golf competitions for golf professionals and amateurs were held on this magnificent course, located less than one hour from downtown Buenos Aires.
